Hospitals and other health care facilities rely on disposable medical masks that have been tested to meet certain safety standards. The Covid-19 pandemic is estimated to generate up to 7,200 tons of medical waste every day, largely from disposable masks. And even as the pandemic slows down in some parts of the world, health care workers are expected to continue wearing disposable masks. \u003C/p>","\u003Cp>The Covid-19 outbreak has led to a health and economic crisis, which is putting employees at risk of infection at the workplace. As a means to protect workers from infection this has initiated global use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
