Summary
ScarabTech works with Grow In Peace to provide a solution to plastic waste. Beetles is the name of the plastic pyrolysis units which are small-scale and mobile. This intervention creates informal employment for waste pickers who stop plastic entering the ocean. The plastic waste is not burnt; an emission free process is used to heat the plastics. Their operations accounts for all carbon dioxide released.
