The regulations detail the requirements and responsibilities for managing solid waste in Tanzania; highlight waste minimisation and cleaner production principles alongside the duty to safeguard the public health and the environment from adverse effects of solid waste; and detail permitting requirements for collectors transporters, waste depositors or managers of transfers of waste.
