Summary

Soko's Kujuwa Initiative produces reusable sanitary pads by upcycling waste materials from their factory. The Kujuwa pad is a high quality, reusable, inexpensive pad that enables girls and women to manage their periods safely. The Kujuwa Initiative employs women trained through their Stitching Academy to produce these reusable sanitary pad kits. Kujuwa has so far engaged and educated over 5,000 individuals, distributed over 7,000 sanitary pads and supported the livelihoods of over 1,000 people."
